Evaluating our choices on the right

On the right side of the spectrum, academia has an outlet in Libertarianism.

Why obey when we can choose?

The failure of the state and the government is utterly apparent here. The libertarian point of view gives a completely different take on what should be done. All that’s happening is that one one-size-fits-all education system is being replaced by another one-size-fits-all education system.

A misunderstanding of the proper role of government

Dictatorships in Cuba, Russia, and Venezuela were involved in systematic forms of eminent domain, mass “publicization” of private property into the hands of the state. The only difference between that and our current situation is that property is being handed over to another private entity, in this case, Columbia University.

Same-sex marriage isn’t the issue—it’s the State

Libertarians offer an unconventional perspective on this issue that is often drowned out of the political sphere.
